Uig Gala Day
Usually held on the first Saturday of July, this is a fantastic day out for all the family. All the usual attractions plus some that have only be thought up by people of a strange disposition during long dark winter nights, such as the world famous ‘Sheep Race’ including a man in a sheepdog costume. You need to be there.
Suileachan Memorial
In 2013 a beautiful memorial to the exploits of the men of Reef who opposed the land grab of the 19th century was built. The landowners forcibly removed the rightful tenants from the land and these brave men resisted this opression. Follow the link below for more information – well worth a visit!
